MEET OUR STAFF

Miss Laura is our director and lead choreographer for our competition team as well as our recreational dancers. She mainly teaches contemporary, jumps & turns, acro, and the majority of our mini classes!

Miss Sarah is our resident jazz teacher for all ages, and has been since the opening of the studio. She also loves the opportunity to teach contemporary or skills to our students. She alongside Miss Laura is a main choreographer for our competition team.

Miss Amanda helps manage our office as well teaching a few of our classes. She cuts our music, facilitates the Akada program, films our yearly recap videos and social media content, puts together our recital programs, and even designs our recital t-shirts. If there’s a technical or administrative issue that needs to be figured out — Amanda is the person to go to! 

Miss Sydney loves working with our junior and senior competition teams as well as our recreational students. She specializes in choreographing contemporary numbers for our company. 

Miss Stephanie has been our resident tap teacher since the opening of KADC! She teaches and choreographs for our ages 9+ tap dancers in both the competitive and recreational space.

Miss Jenna is one of our hip hop teachers at KADC! She teaches our minis and juniors recreationally and also choreographs some hip hop pieces for the competition team.

Miss Shannon has been involved in the dance/acrobatics world for numerous years (coaching preschool through level 9 competitive gymnastics) and has been the director of the Newport YMCA gymnastics program for over a decade. She co-teaches acro for all ages with Miss Laura and runs our cheer/tumbling classes at the studio!

Miss Sam works largely with our mini aged dancers throughout the year! Her favorite style to teach and choreograph for our dancers is contemporary.

Meghan was a dedicated member of our award-winning competitive team from 2020 to 2024! She now shares her passion with our mini and junior students, specializing in contemporary dance and skills classes. 

Kelsey works primarily with our preschool and kinder classes. She is grateful for the opportunity to continue to hone her own technique at KADC, while also inspiring the next generation of dancers. Kelsey was also a member of our competition team from 2020-2026! 

Miss Lillie is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) as well as a Certified Life Coach. Dance has been a part of her life since she was three years old, and she began teaching at sixteen. She's had the opportunity to perform across the United States with a touring company. Her favorite styles are ballet, contemporary, and jazz. She loves creating fun, engaging classes that help each student discover and develop their natural talents

Miss Deanna her formal dance training from SUNY Brockport and the Joffrey Ballet School in Manhattan. Her work reflects a mindfulness towards connection, and emphasis on distinct

musicality. Deanna hopes to continue to tell stories through movement that reach viewers in a way that makes them feel connected to the art, and to those around them.

Ken is currently a dancer with Newport Contemporary Ballet based in Newport, Rhode Island. In May of 2020, they graduated with a BFA in Dance Performance from Butler University, and have received top notch ballet training and performance opportunities from programs all across the world. Ken is excited to share their knowledge and love of dance with our dancers!

Bella is a 21 year old dancer from North Kingstown Rhode Island. She got thrown into a dance class at the age of 7 and started to compete around the East Coast at the age of 8! She is versatile in many styles and her movement often mixes dynamics to match musicality!
